New Directions
Hi everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely weather that we are having at the moment. This is a bit of a diversion from our hygge blog, this is just to let everyone know that StillMind has now got a new base in a gorgeous wellness centre in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire.
I am now working from Auraura Centre which is a lovely holistic centre which offers bespoke complementary therapies along with other experienced therapists who offer excellent services.
I am so happy to have a ‘home’ where I can invite people to come and receive treatments that help their relaxation and well-being within a welcoming, safe space.
Some of the therapies on offer are Indian Head Massage, Ear Candling, Hand Reflexology, Mindful Meditation and Sound Baths, all of which promote a sense of calm and healing (we are not medical practitioners and encourage people that are worried to see their own GP).
And now to go back to our hygge chats…
So now that summer is in full swing, let’s think about a hygge summer. How can we hygge in summer?
Holidays - be it a small summer cottage, visiting family, driving across the countryside to festivals or camping in green rolling fields.
BBQs - getting together with friends and family to celebrate milestones, national holidays is a great way to hygge! Share food, friendship and laughter.
Take a nap - a lazy summer afternoon deserves a nap. And the best place…in a hammock. Nice, cosy, relaxing.
Gardening - for some people, there is no better way to relax than spending an afternoon or two in the garden tending flowers, fruit and veg.
Reading - after working hard, why not find a good book and relax in a deck chair in the garden or conservatory and spend a few hours lost in another world.
Make time for you - spend an afternoon at your library or bookshop, stock up on summer reads. Dawdle for hours, sit down and check out the best sellers or just people watch.
Be a storm watcher - I love to sit and watch thunderstorms in a window, or in my conservatory, be a storm watcher too and marvel at nature. Watch the lightning flash across the sky followed by the boom that make us jump and smile in astonishment.
Enjoy the summer, love, laugh and be happy.
Until next time, take care and peaceful wishes.
